Privacy
Privacy Policy
Tiny Travelers is a playful discovery project. We collect only the information needed to log sightings, follow travelers, and keep the project safe.
Information we collect
You may provide a nickname, approximate location labels, city or region, notes, clues, and photos. If you choose to use geolocation, your browser or device may share approximate latitude, longitude, and accuracy. You can use manual location entry instead.
How we use it
We use this information to show traveler journeys, maintain your local member profile, moderate content, and operate the site and app.
Photos and public content
Sightings, notes, clues, location labels, and uploaded photos may be visible to other visitors. Do not upload photos of children, private homes, license plates, faces of people who have not agreed, or anything sensitive.
New sightings and releases are reviewed before they are shown publicly. We may reject, hide, or remove photos, notes, clues, or location labels that create a privacy, safety, legal, or community concern. If a member profile is blocked for safety or moderation reasons, we keep the member ID and moderation reason so future submissions can be refused.
Data sharing
Uploaded images may be stored with our image hosting provider. App hosting, database, and analytics providers may process technical data needed to run the service. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and deletion
We keep journey logs while they are useful to the project. You can request deletion from your profile page. Deleting your profile removes your member account and follows, and anonymizes your connected sightings.
Age
Tiny Travelers is intended for adults 18 and older. It is not directed to children. Do not allow children to upload photos, names, location information, or other personal information.
Contact
Use the report controls on traveler pages to flag content that should be reviewed or removed. You can also contact the project at hello@tinytravelers.online.
